SACHSENHAUSEN - THE CHILDREN OF SURVIVORS

Marjolein from the Netherlands, Petra from Germany, and George from the United Kingdom—three individuals from different countries and backgrounds, yet bound by a significant shared history: their fathers were imprisoned in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, each for very different reasons. Marjolein’s father, a resistance fighter, helped Jews escape; Petra’s father was persecuted for his homosexuality; and George’s father, a Polish citizen, was arrested simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. SACHSENHAUSEN - THE CHILDREN OF SURVIVORS delves into how these descendants grapple with their fathers’ pasts and how this legacy has shaped their own lives.
